Default Cheesecake talks about gamers who held out on games that were shutting down. either their online services or the whole game, he goes through the stories of people who held onto those experiences and didnt let go. As someone who pondered my orb for the first time in the late 2000's and early 2010's, many games I played were lost. I also think its a lil funny too teehee.

But thats the end of my list because I didn't play many multiplayer online games as a child. Internet was a bit dubious at times and I had a lot of social anxiety :/. I still get a bit anxious playing with my mic on in an online game but thats just because they hear my girlyness and not my prowess at spellcasting and deep knowledge of tomes and scrolls.
But I'd like to encourage you to seek out the games you can't play anymore and check in with the community. For example, the Free Realms community is working on recreating the game, and Cheesecake lists a few other examples too. Go see what people are still doing with these old games you used to love, or how they're trying to keep the game alive with each other.
